Our Story

Our mission: Spread Laughter and Joy through out the Land!!

HOW IT ALL STARTED:
In my adult life I’ve been a “maker” since 1988. First it was colorful polymer clay jewelry, then mosaics for nearly 17 years…and then came illustration and screen printing. Screen printing had intrigued me for a long time. It was such a mystery to me how it all actually worked…and being a curious person, I decided to find out. In 2006 I started exploring and learning all I could about print making, screen printing and Photoshop.  I began to create designs that tickle my quirky intellect. In most of my creative endeavors, I am self-taught from this inner place that just sparkles.

INSPIRATION:
Often times people ask me the meaning behind one of my off-beat, slightly irreverent designs and I smile and am usually at a loss for words. Seriously. I don’t really know how to explain how I came up with the idea of Sasquatch sharing an ice cream cone with a Unicorn! My imagination has always been pretty wild and wide open… and making people laugh is fun!

I’ve always felt a very strong connection with nature and I love animals.  Color is really important to me as well and over time I’ve developed a knack for putting colors together in harmonious and inspiring ways that are quite pleasing.

ABOUT VIVA SWEET LOVE:

Viva Sweet Love’s quirky, beautiful and sometimes irreverent designs are screen printed with great care onto a variety of lovely products for the home, as well as for adults and babies with an eye for unique, off beat design and of course, a sense of humor.

Viva Sweet Love is the brand name I chose to showcase my original designs that inspire Laughter, Joy, and of course…LOVE! Each screen printed image is hand pulled by me using professional grade, permanent non-toxic water-based inks. I choose my raw materials, fabrics, tee shirts and other garments and accessories carefully; I look for well made, eco-friendly, soft fabrics. I care about the environment and try my best to reflect that in everything from the ink used to print the designs to the packing materials they are shipped in. I hope my work brings you a tiny piece of joy.

All the Best…and then some,
Amy
